Savannah, Georgia
Walk into our studio on East Congress Street and you will find rings, necklaces, and pendants shaped one piece at a time. We work in sterling silver, gold, turquoise, sapphire, larimar, and the stones our regulars ask for by name.
For more than thirty years, Metals and Paint has been a mom-and-pop studio in Savannah's Historic District. Larry and the team design, cast, and finish every piece in-house. Nothing arrives pre-made from a factory overseas.
That means when you pick up a ring here, you are buying work that was cut, soldered, and polished under this roof. We keep our cases stocked with classic Savannah styles and newer artisan designs, and we are happy to talk through sizing, stone choices, or a repair before you buy.
Visitors often tell us the shop feels like a small gallery tucked between the restaurants and galleries on Congress Street. That is exactly how we like it.
Our cases change week to week, but these are the categories customers come back for. Every item is handmade in our Savannah studio.

Sleeping Beauty turquoise, opals, larimar, sapphires, and mixed-stone pendants. We source stones for color and character, not for a catalog look. Ask about a specific stone and we can often show you what we have on hand.
Roman coin pendants, vintage-inspired lockets, and signature necklaces that draw on Savannah's history. These pieces tend to sell quickly because each mount is built around an individual coin or artifact.
Not sure about your ring size? We measure in the shop at no charge. We also walk customers through basic repair options for pieces bought here or elsewhere, so you know what is worth fixing before you spend a dollar.
Reviews from visitors who found us while exploring downtown Savannah.
We wandered in after lunch and stayed for an hour. The selection is unlike anything in the chain stores, and the prices were fair for handmade work. I left with a turquoise ring I still wear every day.
The owner took time to explain how a pendant was made and helped my husband pick the right chain length. It felt personal without any pressure to buy. A great stop near City Market.
We are a short walk from City Market and the riverfront, in the heart of the Historic District.
Look for our storefront between the galleries and cafes on East Congress. Street parking and public garages are nearby. If you are coming from City Market, head east on Congress for about two blocks.

All sales are final. Because each piece is handmade and often unique, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We encourage you to try items on in the shop and ask questions before you purchase.
